STAND OUT IN THE WEST WITH AN OWNABLE JRPG IDENTITY

As you might expect from its title, Metaphor: Refantazio holds deeper meaning beyond its fantasy story and gorgeous setting. What you might not expect is the broader subversion of its own genre. Few titles question JRPG conventions the way Metaphor does.

Mind-bending stories are a joy to work on, but clearly articulating them poses challenges — especially for a new, Japanese IP expanding to a mass, Western audience.

To captivate players, we crafted a campaign around a universally appealing hook in the game: uncovering hidden truths in a world where nothing is as it seems. By teasing these deeper mysteries, we sparked curiosity, leaving audiences intrigued and hungry for answers. This approach was reinforced by a bold and evocative tagline that captured the essence of the game:
